Professor Felicia Oluchukwu Asadu
Director
Professor Felicia Oluchukwu Asadu is the Director of the Chike Okoli Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies, COCES, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. She is a distinguished Nigerian scholar and Professor of French Language and Translation Studies in the Department of Modern European Languages, Faculty of Arts, Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
Professor Asadu has made significant contributions to language education, French studies, linguistics, and translation scholarship in Nigeria. Her academic work reflects a strong commitment to promoting French as an international language and strengthening the role of translation in education, research, and intercultural communication.
Before her appointment as Director of COCES, she served the University in several important administrative and academic capacities, including Head of the Department of Modern European Languages, Postgraduate Departmental Coordinator, and Continuing Education Programme Coordinator. Through these roles, she has demonstrated leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to institutional development.
Professor Asadu holds a Bachelor’s degree in French from the University of Nigeria and a Master’s degree in French Linguistics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University. She is also a Fellow of the American Council of Learned Societies, African Humanities Programme.
As Director of COCES, Professor Asadu brings to the Centre a wealth of academic experience, administrative competence, and a passion for human capacity development. Her leadership supports the Centre’s mission of advancing entrepreneurship education, practical skills acquisition, innovation, and sustainable development within the University community and beyond..
